Atlantic City (live) – The Levon Helm Band
Like the joke that begins, a guy walks into a bar… I was talking to Jeff about music. Most of you know this because we’ve all had those conversations with him.
I was telling him about an early Shaft-Cheese gathering in the fall of 2006 up at Ferg’s. It was Friday night and I had begun the weekend by picking up Lavs at a bar in Hoboken, driving to the airport on Long Island to collect TJ and heading out to John’s with a car full of drums and other things.
A good night began, and one of the moments that stood out was TJ killing this tune.
I told Jeff that story and he said he wished he was there then he said, have you heard Levon Helm’s version. Crap no. Now I have. Hope you enjoy it.
