Easy Lover (with Phil Collins)
Kind of a reality check, break up the theme, drop something unexpected. Yeah. Phil Collins. 80’s pop-god. Much like the documentary on the Eagles, the Genesis documentary, is hard to turn away from. I’ve spent countless hours in front of it.
Thankfully the interweb provides some insight. This is from an interview with Phil Collins in 2016:
“So we just started having a jam one night, and went round and round and turned it into a verse and a chorus. We recorded it that night so we wouldn’t forget it. That song doesn’t sound like any particular era. It’s just fantastic.”
