Pure – Ian Broudie
this tune came out in 1989. It is the Lightening Seeds (aka Ian Broudie). Back then, I didn’t like it for many reasons – thought it sounded like he ripped off New Order among others – I had lots of reasons. Turns out he is a music producer and worked with New Order. Maybe they sound like him. Go figure.
I had heard it was a song written at the time for his child, not sure if it is accurate, but I’m going with it and saying that I hope all our children experience some of the great things of life – and – knowing that they all will have to work through hardships – I hope they will have have family and friends to support them along the way. Hey and some music – right?
