Speaking of strong women – Rosemary LeCompte is a solid fixture in this category. My mom’s only sister, she is always there, always. And aside from having the ability to whistle like her father and palm you a twenty dollar from her uncles – she has been so much for to us.
She saw Simon and Garfunkel at the Philadelphia Academy of Music when they were just starting out. She is central to all of our lives and is a continuous warmth for us all – including mom. I put this song on there for her – it is only a small token of my total appreciation for everything about her and her daughters – Amy and Rose.
