Hi – I’m Beau Bradley and rexmaps is my portfolio site.
I am a geographer and cartographer with expertise applying spatial modeling and design methods to support teams and projects in understanding complex issues and to develop policy, planning, and interventions. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a diverse series of teams with a focus on urban issues – from the environment, social justice, housing, public safety and infrastructure.
As a “geographer in training”, we focused on conceptualizing map elements that were comprised of points, lines and areas. As a practioner, those points, lines and areas represent our communities, issues we face, and a way to communicate ideas and solutions. This site is a cross-section of projects that I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of – from the geographer’s point of view, they have been points of departure, lines of thought and areas of exploration.
In this field of work, I haved viewed our world through a certain perspective (typically from a computer screen with a view from 10,000 feet). My portfolio is a brief glimpse of a few projects that I’ve worked on – I’m looking foward to gaining more insights and experience and collaborating on teams to support our communities into the future.
